I was contacted by the lovely D about shooting her, her Argentine husband and their lovely young daughter on their short visit in Buenos Aires. Luckily, our schedules meshed and we scheduled a shoot in the traditional neighborhood of San Telmo, to get that old-school feeling with the light and cobblestones. We spent a morning together and focused mainly on posed shots for their yearly Christmas cards. We worked so well together, that D suggested we have another shoot later on in the week to get more photojournalistic style coverage of them with their daughter enjoying Buenos Aires. It’s wonderful when multiple loves come together in one experience. In this case, my love of trees, my love of photography, and of mothers-to-be. To date, I haven’t had that much experience with maternity photo shoots, but I know they are about capturing the love, the “glow”, and the beauty of this incredible moment in life, and honoring and conveying the incredible bond that mothers carrying their unborn children have during those nine precious months. L asked me specifically to include the blossoming jacarandas, so I jumped at the chance. Thank you for trusting me. Look forward to getting to know your bundle of joy next year.
